WVU fell behind early against the now #1 ranked LSU Tigers Saturday night and just could not overcome the deficit. In the third quarter, Mountaineer quarterback Geno Smith led his team to within a touchdown but LSU answered by running the kickoff back 99 yards for the score. That score simply took the wind out of the Morgantown crowd and the team, who drops to 3-1 on the season. Next week, WVU hosts Bowling Green in their homecoming game at Milan Puskar Stadium, kickoff is currently scheduled for 3:30PM.
